Adam John Tyler is the friend of Ben Davies, Lisa Hunter and Tank Top, and the husband of Millie Andrews. Adam worked as a teacher at the same school as Millie, and they dated. However, when Adam met Millie's parents, the dinner went disastrously and Millie broke up with Adam. Adam began to recognise his feelings for men and had several one night stands. However, Adam and Millie reconciled when Adam proposed and Millie accepted. When he found student Josh Jones sleeping on the street, Adam invited him to stay, unaware of Josh's infatuation with him. Shortly before the wedding, Adam kissed Josh, and Josh became desperate to show everyone that Adam was gay.
On the night before his wedding, Adam was arrested for public indecency after being set up by a police officer that Adam thought wanted to have sex with him. Josh attended Millie and Adam's wedding with the intention of outing Adam, but couldn't go through with it and left the church. Adam soon discovered that Josh's mother didn't throw him out because he was gay, and Adam exploded at Josh and threw him out. Josh then told his mother that Adam was in love with him and Mrs. Jones furiously confronted him. Adam was suspended and arrested, but he convinced Josh to say that he fabricated the whole story. Adam's suspension was reverted, but Adam quit his job, upsetting Josh.
Adam soon came out to Millie, who felt used, so Adam left his wedding ring on the table and went to a gay bar with Josh. At the club, Adam met model Jamie. Adam got drunk and insulted Josh, who exploded at Adam and left.
