Synopsis[]

Jordan asks Juliet to sell drugs for him. Mercedes advises Tony on how to move things forward with Diane. John Paul and James discuss their future.

Plot[]

Marnie wakes James and confronts him over the shooting of Mercedes. Juliet tries stealing someone's tip from The Hutch but Jordan stops her. Celeste teases Romeo, but he is unhappy to see Toby. James tries to convince Marnie that the note is someone's idea of a joke, and denies shooting Mercedes. When Marnie decides to call the police about the threatening letters, James stops her and tells the truth. Marnie is horrified. Jordan tells Juliet that she can pay off the debt by working for her. He offers to give her a cut of the profits too once she's paid off the debt. Juliet refuses to sell drugs for Jordan. Jordan warns her that one of his bosses may send a message. Toby wants to talk to Romeo about Celeste. Romeo worries that he might know about the affair but Toby doesn't appear to know anything. Marnie admits that she spiked his drink. He reveals that he knew and tipped the glass into a plant. She realises that is how her plant died. James tells Marnie about what happened on the night Mercedes was shot. He says that he feels guilt over shooting Mercedes and cannot sleep. Marnie recalls James leaving Donna-Marie for dead too and asks if there's been anyone else. She compares him to Mac. She tells James that he has to turn himself in. Mercedes encourages John Paul to go after James if he really likes him. Romeo leaves a voicemail for Celeste. He is attacked from behind and beaten unconscious, his wallet stolen. Marnie and James wonder who might have sent the letter. James tells her that he can't hand himself into the police. Upon seeing the printer printing, he has a flashback - James himself sent the letters whilst drugged on sleeping pills. Sid tells Juliet that he is going to raise the £500. Juliet notices an unconscious Romeo and calls an ambulance. Marnie calls James a monster. He tries to change Marnie's mind about trying to get him to confess to no avail. John Paul interrupts, informing them that Romeo has been injured. Tony apologises for not seeing Mercedes sooner and thanks her for saving his life. Mercedes gives Tony advice on how to show Diane that he's still the old Tony. Doctor Kane informs James that he should be fine. They're going to give him a scan just in case, however. Juliet reveals that she thought Romeo was dead. Marnie agrees not to go to the police, for Romeo and Juliet's sake. She tells him that next time, she will turn him in. Tony tells Diane that he wants to take their relationship to the next level. She is pleased. Celeste visits Romeo in hospital and Romeo thinks that it was Toby who attacked him. Celeste says that Toby is in Manchester and says that Toby hates it when she flirts with other people. Jordan takes the money from Romeo's wallet and throws it into the pond. Juliet confronts him over Romeo's attack. Jordan warns her that there may be a next time and convinces her of his innocence. Juliet offers to sell drugs, solely to pay what she owes. They are unaware Sid has seen all. James apologises to John Paul. John Paul asks if he's OK but James doesn't say much. He wants to try at a relationship again. They end up kissing. Mercedes opens an envelope and finds James's letter. She tells Warren, needing to find out who wrote the note.
