Synopsis[]
The McQueen family find themselves homeless and unemployed. Ali continues to have a hold over Misbah. The Deverauxes try to keep the family together, whilst Diane is uncomfortable with the move to The Dog in the Pond.
Plot[]
Shaq tells Misbah that Ali has told him what happened between them. Diane begins to have second thoughts about running The Dog in the Pond. Celeste finds a goodbye letter from DeMarcus. Misbah is infuriated when Shaq repeats what Ali has said, which clearly isn't the truth. Nana is shocked to learn that Tony is the pub's new manager. Mandy is angry with Ali, and thinks that they should stop dating. Toby finds DeMarcus, who is preparing to return to Manchester. He tries to change DeMarcus's mind.
Theresa is horrified to learn that Tony and Diane will also be moving into 1 Stockton Lane. Ali decides to issue Cleo a caution and to send her back to work with immediate effect. However, he tells Misbah that there will be consequences for her. Fergus tells Nana and Tony that the contracts the McQueens signed stated that he didn't need to give notice to evict them. Mandy vents to Misbah about Ali. DeMarcus tells Martine that his mother took on another job and couldn't look after him.
Martine makes clear that he is welcome to stay. Tony thinks that they should remain at 3 Oakdale Drive, Flat 4 and let the McQueens stay in the flat above the pub. Martine tells Celeste that she is scared to see her breasts after the masectomy. She is scared that her children will go through the same as she did with Gloria. Celeste tells her to take a break and let her family take care of her. Nana and Theresa vow to get back The Dog in the Pond.
Misbah is uncomfortable as Ali decides to wait inside the house for Shaq to get ready. Ali reveals that he will be issuing Misbah with a formal warning and is rude towards her. He also tells her that Shaq wants him around so she'll have to find a way to cope with his presence, and starts to become threatening. Theresa trashes the pub as part of her plan to drive Tony and Diane away.
