Hello, everyone! It's Pride Month!
During June 2022, Fandom is going to be hosting Pride themed roundtables, highlighting the stories of some of our LGBTQIA+ users, hosting a tournament bracket on the Drag Race Wiki - and more surprises. Hollyoaks - and its many characters - is very much part of this, so we hope you'll join us!
To learn more about what Fandom's doing, see some of the highlights, and find more information on the LGBTQIA+ history and community, I invite you to take a look at our Community Central blog post:
Community Roundtables
As with the other events we had this year, there are going to be some roundtable sessions happening on Fandom's Discord server. These have always been a lot of fun, it's a great place to recommend your favorite topics and get everyone else's.
The "Movies and TV" roundtable already happened, but there will be other roundtables each week. Joining is pretty easy - you just need to be in Fandom's Discord server, and start chatting as much or as little as you want in the roundtable channel once it's time for these. More details below!

Hey everyone!
From Monday, All4 will begin showing episodes of Hollyoaks one episode ahead of E4. We have run polls in our Discord server and on our Twitter page to find out if readers of the wiki would want to see the wiki kept at E4 pace or moved to All4 pace. Both polls returned a majority vote of E4 pace.
Therefore, I would like to inform everyone that the wiki will remain at E4 pace despite the... first-first look(?) on All4. Any content from All4 will be treated as spoiler content and will be reverted until the content has been transmitted on E4.
I would also like to take the opportunity to thank readers and fellow editors. Viewing figures for the wiki have continued to increase based on last years figures, as has the number of editors producing high quality edits!
Hey everyone!
In case you missed it, Fandom has been celebrating Black History all month long, from blogs to social posts to roundtable discussions, and it’s been wonderful seeing so many communities get involved. To close out the celebration, we have one final surprise in store that might be of interest for this community!
Fandom will be hosting a panel discussion - Black Voices & Content in Genre IP - to celebrate Black culture and representation in entertainment, and we would like to invite you all to attend and participate! This will be an open, in-depth discussion spotlighting the journeys of Black creators and innovators in TV, comic books, stage, and film.
The panel will consist of Sanford Greene, the Illustrator behind Image Comic’s Bitter Root, which is soon to be a movie helmed by Regina King and Ryan Coogler; Steve Harper, Co-Executive Producer for Stargirl; and Cameron Johnson, Co-Creator & Executive Producer of Tom Swift. It will be moderated by Joelle Monique, an iHeartRadio Executive Producer & Entertainment Writer.
You can watch the livestream on our Twitch channel on Monday, February 28th at 12PM EST. If you can’t attend live, don’t worry! The VOD should be available at 1PM EST when the panel is finished, so you can check that out whenever you get a chance. Hope to see you all there watching and chatting with us!
They aren't related by blood but they still have a familial link, I'll explain:
Sienna Blake is the step daughter of Maxine Minniver.
Maxine Minniver is the biological daughter of [[Dave Chen-Williams]].
Dave Chen-Williams is the half brother of Ethan Williams.
This makes Ethan Sienna's half-step-great-uncle. Now I really don't want them to become romantically involved...
Hello, everyone! February 2022 is here, and as part of it, Fandom is going to be celebrating Black History Month!
Black History Month is an observance period for remembering and recognizing important people and events in the history of the Black community. As part of this, Fandom is highlighting a number of TV shows, movies, video games, comics, and artists, including Hollyoaks, which has many characters we could chat about.
You can read up on the blog post introducing the event to find out more about the celebration.
---
We're currently hosting roundtables each week to discuss our favorite works that are representative of the Black community. We talked about movies this past week - next up will be TV shows, which could be a good opportunity to mention Hollyoaks characters.
Date: February 15
Time: 12 PM ET / 5 PM GMT / 6 PM CET
If you want to join us, make sure to enter Fandom's Discord server (the roundtables take place in the #bhm-roundtable channel). You can also follow our @FandomWikis Twitter account, for important news and updates!
---
(Note: Fandom is doing this in February due to it being the celebratory month in the US, but the celebration is extended to the whole world.)
Can you update the attempted Murders of Ethan Williams seeing as he was forced to kill Darren Osborne but let him go , held Ste Hay and Sienna Blake gun point and hit Warren Fox with a car
As of recent, new users have been adding an 'LGBT characters' category to articles. This category was phased out a number of years ago as it seemed to lack any purpose (was not part of the category tree) and was not maintained correctly.
It is most preferrable that a discussion is raised when there is a desire for a new category to be added as the introduction of a category requires up to 3,000-4,000 pages to be checked over.
A few mini-discussions have been held, and the reasons given that this category would make a good re-addition is that it makes searching for representation in Hollyoaks easier - every LGBT regular and guest character is all in one list in an easy-to-read format. Wikipedia has a list of LGBT characters in soap operas, but the list for Hollyoaks is mostly incomplete.
A reason why adding this category is in question is - how useful would it actually be? When the category existed, it was hardly ever used and kept accurate. Categories lay at the bottom of an article page in a box which is collapsed by default whilst the character's infobox and biography - towards the top of the page - informs you of their partners and identity. It is also unlikely that this category will be accessed directly from outside of the wiki, such as through sites like Google, especially as the top results are lists of LGBT characters in Hollyoaks.
If this category was to be implemented, how do we determine which characters receive this category, in instances such as Craig Dean who identified as straight despite dating John Paul McQueen, and Sienna Blake who has not revealed what sexuality she is.
Please respond with your thoughts and opinions. When voting, please write yes or no in bold text. Voting is open to all users - contributors and readers.
This post will be locked on 27th June 2021.

Faith does not have a confirmed surname (her article even states this); so why is her article titled Faith Savage?
Something did not feel right about Sid's "death"
Did anyone else feel like that too?

To the long-time fans of Hollyoaks, are there any storylines that you think haven't been done yet or that hasn't been explored properly?
I kinda wish they'd do more stuff with the characters Courtney and Sally.
Can any music buffs please help identify the price of music being played immediately before the end of the first half on Monday nights episode. Diane is having a conversation with verity and a soft (classical sounding) melody plays in the background. Does anyone know what the song or composition is? Many thanks
Hey, so, I’ve been watching Hollyoaks for about a year now, and I’m kind of confused with the relations of characters.
I’m sort of confused on how all the McQueens are all related. I’m also confused on how Juliet, James and Romeo are related, if someone could tell me, that would be great!
Who else thinks that the "nurse" who is terrorizing Liberty and is trying to persuade her to call off the surrogacy is Nico?
